For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.
Hat tip to Elizabeth for turning me on to Christopher John Rogers, a rising designer who’s already won a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. He’s known for his use of color, and I’m loving this vibrant, happy green suit in silk — absolutely gorgeous for the right woman, perhaps if she needed to accept an award on behalf of her company or attend a charity auction or fundraiser. (OR, hey, just hanging out at home.) If you’ve been craving color, do check out his other pieces at Net-a-Porter — I also love all of the bright yellow neon ones, but most of all this gorgeous neon skirt. The blazer is $2,425, and the matching pants are $1,050.
