For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional.
I check Ann Taylor really often for potential suits to feature here, so either I was blind before or this one is new — these dark gray suiting separates in their bi-stretch fabric are lovely! If you’re not familiar with it, the bi-stretch fabric is machine washable, 4-way stretch, and a poly/rayon/spandex blend.
I love that there are so many different separates to match, here — I’ve pictured a cutaway blazer and pencil skirt, but there’s also a scoop neck sheath dress, ankle trousers, and a second, collared, blazer. Pieces are $89–$179, many of them online exclusives.
I suspect this is different for every firm and school, but for those of you involved with typical on-campus interviewing, how will that look this fall, if it’s happening at all?
UPDATE: Just an FYI: One of the classes we mentioned in our roundup of online classes to take for fun during quarantine is starting up again TOMORROW, August 12: the Yale-presented “Science of Well-Being” class. (And it’s free!)
